C’est la vie. (That’s Life)  Bienvenue (Welcome), and Bonjour (Good morning).  It is a bright Sunday morning and I figured I would let ya’ll in on a Sunday morning ritual The Wife and I have.  We wake up to a pot of coffee, fire up the turn table and have a relaxing morning with some good ol’ Cajun music.  It all started several years back, when we would go camping with my Uncle.  On Sunday mornings we would all sit around the campfire with our coffee, and Cajun music just loud enough to hear over the shuffling feet of the other campers waking up and starting the day. The Dismemberment Plan (D-Plan)   D-Plan came out of Washington D.C. around 1993. They released 4 albums and 3 EPs from 93′ to 03′ when they disbanded. She opened up a whole new world of music to me — The Indie scene with bands like Modest Mouse,...

The Dave Matthews Band was formed in 1991 in Charlottesville, VA. by, of course Dave Matthews.  The band is said to be a rock, pop, funk, jazzy, type of band.  I like to refer to them as a Jam Band.  The hardly ever take a break form the road, always on tour and playing special events.  At the time of this post they have 8 studio albums and somewhere around 60 live albums.  If you want the whole story on DMB check out their homepage or    I have been a DMB fan since 1994.  During my senior year of high school, a radio station named The Coast played “Ants Marching.”  I loved it the first time I heard it.  What I heard was nothing quite like I had heard before.  A rock band, with a violin, and...

Welcome, Have a seat and lend me your ear. I want to share with you my love for music.  For me, music has a huge impact on my life.  Music can influence your day, mind set, and stir up all kinds of emotions.  I am a fan of just about all genres and I would like to share some of my collection with you. So hopefully, once a week I will pull a random record, cassette, 8-track, or CD and share with you my opinion and ties said music choice.  Keep in mind my selections will only come from what is in my collection.  I know what your thinking, “Oh great, another review of music by a complete nobody.”  I’m not reviewing as much as I am just sharing my experience to said album.  Maybe a song reminds me of a 5th grade...
