Two fan boys and two long time friends talking about everything that's nerdtastic!

#202 – In Space, No One Can Hear You Sigh In Disbelief

WNC202Welcome to this week’s super special episode of When Nerds Collide! This time we are joined by long-time friends of the show Ryan and Brandon to talk about one of the most successful film franchises, Alien! After a delightful anecdote from Dan, Brandon tells us of his recent experience shopping for racist knick-knacks at a local antique mall! Ryan gives an update on how things are over at the little podcast he does with that other guy. (Pooyan? Poochyena?) We get the show rolling by talking about the trailers for The Defenders on Netflix and the long-awaited film adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower (and how McConnaughey must have jumped from filming his Lincoln commercial into shooting this film.) We then segue right into Xenomorph chat, with a brief discussion of each film, why we liked or disliked each one and what we want to see in Alien:Covenant. We discuss the inappropriateness of the 1979 release of Kenner’s Alien action figure! We finish up, as usual, with Tom’s quiz on the show’s topic, including a question about why April 26th is considered to be Alien day!! So sit back with your glass of whiskey and Xenomorph tadpoles and enjoy!

Thanks to Brandon and Ryan for joining us! Check out Ryan at!

By the way, next weekend is the 2017 edition of the Tidewater Comicon! May 13th and 14th at the Va Beach Convention Center! Just mention When Nerds Collide at the door and they might have security escort you from the building!

ITunes! 5 Stars! Review! You! Now! Go! Voicemail! You! Now! Go! Twitter! You! Now! Go! Facebook! You! Now! Go!

Why would you put out a child’s doll, board game, and film viewer based on an “R” rated horror film? Somebody got fired!

A big facehugger thanks to the guys at Kirby Krackle for lettings us play their super-nerdy tunes!
