The Walking Dead
The Walking Dead
So lets talk dead. I love this story — the books and the TV show. I think both are great in their own ways. This is not to start a debate over which is better or if The Walking Dead is overrated. This is just my take on the series. I mean lets face it, if you don’t know about TWD yet, you don’t belong on the internet. HA!
I had the honor of being a guest on Heroes and Villains talking about Rick Grimes. You should really check it out. It’s amazing! I just can’t believe I forgot to mention this album during the discussion. If you are a fan of the show, this is a must have for your collection. There is a remix of the main theme song and young Beth also sings.
I was one of the fans who started watching the show before I read the books. When I learned of the books, I did but didn’t want to read them. I didn’t want to ruin the show by reading the books. After reading only the first few issues, I realized that this would not be the case. The book and show differ on many accounts. Characters that are in the show are not in the book, things that happen to book characters don’t happen to them in the show, etc. Things like that allow you to enjoy both mediums for what they are. My buddy John talked me into checking out the show. I caught season 1 on Netflix. I’ve been hooked ever since. When I wanted to read the books, I found a couple of issues online. Then another friend of mine, Eric (or Baby K as some of us call him), loaned me the first compendium. I couldn’t put it down. I started reading the books around season 3 of the show. As of now I am caught up to both.
The Wife and I have our friends John & Annette over every Sunday to watch the show. Since season 3 we have watched every episode together. It’s something The Wife and I look forward to every week. So now, we sit, we wait, for OCTOBER 11th. when season 6 kicks off. GO TEAM RICK!!
