May the Fourth Be With You
Have you have ever wondered what the deal is with May 4th being Star Wars day, then be ready to not be surprised! May 4th sounds like ‘The Force’. There ya go! That’s about it. May the Force be with you, the catch phrase from the movies, sounds like May the fourth be with you. That’s the connection, people!!! Star Wars Day was founded on the base of alliteration. Fan boys/girls also use this day as an excuse to watch all the movies in a row while eating cookies that look like Boba Fett and pretending your a Sarlacc pit, and maybe even play Star Wars customizable Card Game (SWCCG), and lets not forget the traditional ‘open your light saber when Darth Vader does in the movie’ moments. Its more fun than going to town to pick up power converters with your friends. I guess you could consider this the Superbowl holiday for Star Wars nerds. Young fan boys will celebrate this day by filling up their parents basement with the sound of laser blasts, John William’s movie score and insults aimed at Gene Roddenberry. So lets go people, and spend the entire day in costume with the company of friends watching all the films and having a great time! Or just watch the episodes 4, 5, and 6. You know, the good ones.
Noticed I wrote this with a Yoda speech reference? Your welcome.
