Hey Everybody!  I know this is a little late, but come with me across the Rainbow Bridge and lets all watch the trailer to Thor 2: The Dark World.  I know it’s a teaser but it still looks really good and I can’t wait to see it.  As long as Beta Ray Bill doesn’t show up, I think we’ll all be  ok. All your favorite actors are back from the first movie reprising their role.  Christopher Eccleston joins the cast as Malekith the dark Elf.Check out more details about it here at IMDB!   Set one year after The Avengers, Thor battles to save all the Nine realms from a mysterious enemy older than the universe itself. A primeval race led by Malekith, who is out for revenge, intends to plunge the universe into darkness. Confronted by an enemy that even Odin and...

What I’m Reading

Just finished Dreams and Shadows by C. Robert Cargill. Cargill is a writer for Aint It Cool News and wrote the screenplay for the movie Sinister.  There were two kinds of  fantasy I used to avoid: Arthurian based tales, and anything about faeries. With the way Jim Butcher has handled the fae in The Dresden Files,  I have sinced changed my mind about that, and am glad for that after reading this book.  Dreams and Shadows is about two young boys whose lives are disrupted by supernatural beings, and what happens to them as they grow from boys into young men. That is as brief a synopsis as I can give without revealing much of the story. The main “hero” is named Colby Stevens and I hope Mr. Cargill has plans for him in future books. The book was a little more...

Flashback Friday – Ducktales

Posted by on Apr 19, 2013 in T.V. | 3 comments

In reference to this up coming podcast about cartoons and in addition to a new segment named “Flashback Friday” I decided to talk a little about one of my favorite cartoons, Duck Tales!     Let’s take a walk hand in hand through the streets of Duckberg!  I loved this cartoon! I was always so much fun. I remember watching it every day during the  “Disney afternoon’ block. Who else remembers that?  They would show, DuckTales, Chip and Dale’s rescue Rangers, Goof Troop, Talespin, and other shows would come and go.   Ducktales was on the air from ’87 ‘ – ’90 and ran 100 episodes. Not to shabby. It made it for syndication so it was still on Disney for years after that.  A lot of the episode were actually based on the early comic book writing of Carl Barks.     I always loved all the different adventures...
